  • Do I need a pond to grow water lilies?
No Pond? No problem. Water lilies can be grown in a tub on the patio or in ponds of any size. They grow from tubers planted in pots beneath the water and send up stems with rounded leaves and star-shaped blossoms that float on the surface.
  • How long does it take for water lilies to have their first flowers?
Water lilies are perennial plants that shoot in spring, and then flower during late spring–summer & autumn before entering a dormant state in winter. Water lilies need at least 4 hours a day of direct sunlight to flower (the more Sun the Better) Repotting your water lily into fresh soil or a larger pot or bowl every 1–2 years is recommended.
